VRT Radio 2 West-Vlaanderen is the West Flemish regional branch of Radio 2, a public radio station operated by the Flemish public broadcaster VRT in Belgium. Based in Kortrijk, it broadcasts on 100.1 FM for the West Flanders region. The station offers a mix of music, news, and regional programming focused on West Flanders.
Radio 2 West-Vlaanderen originated from the independent West Flemish Radio Broadcasting station founded in 1934. It moved to its current location at Conservatoriumplein in Kortrijk in 2018, returning to its previous home after a period in a different building.
The station features regional news bulletins and a dedicated midday program called "De Middag" on weekdays. Its current presenters include Nico Blontrock, Margot Derycke, Jens Lemant, and Herbert Verhaeghe. Like other Radio 2 regional stations, it aims to provide local news, information, and entertainment relevant to its specific region while also being part of the larger Radio 2 network.
