Founded in 1998, it was designed to promote Russian rock bands as opposed to pop and Western music. The station broadcasts throughout major Russian cities and online, featuring a mix of classic rock from the 1980s, modern pop-punk, and other rock subgenres. Nashe Radio is known for its influential weekly chart "Chart Dozen" and for organizing Nashestvie, Russia's largest annual open-air rock festival. The station plays both established and up-and-coming Russian rock artists, as well as some Ukrainian and Belarusian bands singing in Russian.
