CNR Tibetan Broadcasting, also known as CNR-11, is the Tibetan language service of China National Radio. Established in May 1950, it was the first ethnic minority language broadcast launched by CNR. The station broadcasts 18 hours daily, from 5:55 AM to 12:05 AM Beijing time. Its programming focuses on major domestic and international news, coverage of life and modernization in Tibet and other Tibetan areas, Tibetan history and culture, as well as providing information services and entertainment. The broadcasts primarily use the Central Tibetan dialect, with additional programming in Kham and Amdo dialects.
