RTÉ Lyric FM is Ireland's national classical music and arts radio station, owned and operated by RTÉ (Raidió Teilifís Éireann). Launched on May 1, 1999, it evolved from FM3 Classical Music, which had been broadcasting since 1984. The station is based in Limerick and broadcasts nationally on FM, as well as via digital platforms.
