NPO Klassiek is a public-service radio channel in the Netherlands, primarily broadcasting classical music. It is part of the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system (NPO). The station began broadcasting on December 28, 1975 as Hilversum 4, later changing its name to Radio 4 in 1985. On January 1, 2023, the station was rebranded as NPO Klassiek, becoming a hub for all classical music content across NPO media platforms.
The channel operates 24 hours a day, providing surround sound transmissions via the internet and satellite. NPO Klassiek's programming focuses on short segments of well-known classical repertoire during the day, with live concerts broadcast in the evenings.
