CFMZ-FM, branded as The New Classical 96.3 FM, is a commercial radio station in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It broadcasts a classical music format on 96.3 MHz FM. The station is owned by ZoomerMedia and is English Canada's only commercial all-classical music radio station.
The station's history dates back to 1979 when it first launched in Cobourg, Ontario. In 1988, it added a repeater in Mississauga on 96.3 FM to serve Toronto-area listeners. The transmitter moved into Toronto in 1993, and operations were centralized there by 1997.
Today, The New Classical FM broadcasts on three frequencies across Ontario: 96.3 FM in the Greater Toronto Area, 103.1 FM in Eastern Ontario, and 102.9 FM in South Georgian Bay. Its programming features classical music along with news, weather, traffic, and arts reports. The station also hosts live concert broadcasts from its 150-seat Zoomer Hall studio in Toronto's Liberty Village.
Notable programs include "Classical Mornings" with hosts Jean Stilwell and Adi Braun on weekday mornings. The station's "Live From Zoomer Hall" concert series has featured renowned performers like Lang Lang, Canadian Brass, and Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra.
